Who We Are

Arthouse is an independent New Zealand gambling review hub. We help Kiwi players find safe, fair, good-value online casinos, crypto casinos and sports betting sites — and we're upfront about how the industry and the law actually work here. We are not a casino or a bookmaker; we don't take bets or hold player funds. We review the operators that do.

Our Mission

Online gambling advice aimed at New Zealanders is often copied from UK or Australian sites, quotes the wrong helpline, lists payment methods that no longer work (POLi, we're looking at you), and glosses over the real legal picture. Our mission is simple: accurate, local, honestly-tested information so you can decide for yourself.

Our Review Methodology

Every operator we feature goes through the same process, and commercial relationships never change a score:

1. Licence & safety check — we verify the licence, encryption and testing certifications, and scan public complaint records.
2. Real-money testing — we deposit, claim the bonus, play across game types, and request a withdrawal to time the payout.
3. Banking & NZD — we confirm NZD support and current, working Kiwi payment methods.
4. Bonus scrutiny — we read the full terms: wagering, game weighting, expiry, max cashout.
5. Scoring — six weighted criteria (safety 30%, payouts 20%, bonuses 20%, games 15%, support 10%, mobile 5%) produce a score out of 100.
6. Re-review — we re-test regularly and drop operators that decline.
